Burke Mountain Village a much needed space
For a long time, Burke Mountain and Northeast Coquitlam have lacked a community centre. Since Burke Mountain started expanding, residents were vocal about the need for a space the community could gather and enjoy.
The new community centre on Burke Mountain will meet the needs of current and future residents of this growing Northeast Coquitlam community – as well as residents across the community. Amenities will include pools, gymnasium and a fitness centre. View the site plan.
Targeted to open in 2027 in the future Burke Mountain Village, the proposed 7,430-square-metre (80,000-square-foot) Northeast Community Centre (NECC) will include a range of services including aquatics, gymnasiums, fitness, library and community space sized to meet the anticipated demand for recreation.
